Arval wins Fleet News award

Arval, Europe’s leading fleet and fuel management company, has been recognised at the prestigious Fleet News awards for having the best initiative in the leasing industry. Arval scooped the award for its True Cost of Operations approach (TCO), a powerful computer model which allows companies to identify and measure ways of reducing their fleet and fuel costs and carbon footprint.

The awards were held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, and organised by Fleet News, the most prominent publication in the fleet industry. Arval Chief Executive Officer, Jean-Marc Torre, collected the Best Leasing Initiative award at the black tie ceremony in front of more than 900 key players from the fleet and automotive industries.

The True Cost of Operations approach, a tool that allows Arval to support customers in understanding their true fleet costs and managing them down, was developed in conjunction with the University of Buckingham. It is the most advanced and comprehensive tool of its type in the market and as well as cost, supports customers in measuring CO2 emissions and creating a safety index.
 
The judges commented,

"It is a strong, targeted product that allows managers to appreciate the total costs of their fleet and take action to reduce these costs - exactly what is needed in these challenging times.”

This is Arval’s fourth major award victory in recent months having already won the FN50 customer service award, the fleet van fuel provider of the year and the Prince Michael international road safety award.
